Terms & Conditions

By booking or attending a class with Joyful Journeys Children’s Yoga, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Health & Medical Responsibility

  • It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to seek advice from a qualified medical professional regarding any pre-existing or current injuries, illnesses, or conditions before their child participates in yoga classes.

  • Parents/guardians must inform Joyful Journeys Children’s Yoga of any relevant health issues, injuries, medical conditions, or additional needs prior to the start of each class or course.

  • Any medication required by the child must be administered by the parent/guardian before or after class. Staff will not administer medication unless agreed in writing in advance.

2. Participation & Safety

  • While every effort is made to create a safe and supportive environment, participation in yoga classes is at the child’s (and, where applicable, the parent’s) own risk.

  • Parents/guardians remain responsible for their own safety and their child’s safety during parent–attended sessions.

  • In classes where children are left in the sole care of Joyful Journeys Children’s Yoga, the instructor will provide reasonable supervision and duty of care. However, parents/guardians must ensure their child understands and follows class rules to maintain a safe environment.

3. Liability

  • Joyful Journeys Children’s Yoga accepts no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to property unless caused by proven negligence.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that their child is fit to participate in yoga activities. Joyful Journeys Children’s Yoga cannot be held liable for injuries or issues arising from undisclosed medical conditions or failure to follow class instructions.

  • Children remain the responsibility of the parent/guardian before and after each class. Joyful Journeys Children’s Yoga is only responsible for the child during the designated class time.

4. Emergency Procedures

  • In the event of an accident or emergency, basic first aid will be administered, and emergency services may be contacted if required.

  • Parents/guardians must provide up-to-date emergency contact details and ensure they are contactable during the class.

5. Bookings, Cancellations & Refunds

  • All bookings must be made in advance. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Cancellations by parents/guardians are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

  • In the unlikely event that Joyful Journeys Children’s Yoga cancels a class, an alternative date will be offered where possible.

6. Behaviour & Conduct

  • Children are expected to show respect for others and follow the guidance of the instructor.

  • Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in a child being asked to sit out of activities or, in serious cases, removal from the class.

  • Parents/guardians are expected to model safe and respectful behaviour during parent–attended sessions.

7. Photography & Media

  • No photography or recording is permitted during classes without prior consent.

  • Joyful Journeys Children’s Yoga may request permission to use photographs for promotional purposes. Consent will always be sought in advance.

8. Data Protection

  • All personal data provided will be treated confidentially and in line with GDPR requirements.

  • Information will only be used for class administration, health and safety, and emergency contact purposes.
